It does mean sub-model and in the case of NOC can mean multiple models, but an Impreza <> Legacy. Different platform, different line = no swaps. Your only chance would be if magically the factory part numbers for EVERY engine related component of the car the engine came out of matched an engine available for an Impreza. And you would have to have the documentation to prove it. Not bloody likely.
