No. Its the same with movies and TV shows. I loved the movie Kung Pow and I laugh hard every time I see it but, my wife will actually leave the room if its on TV. Game and movie ratings are worth absolutely nothing unless you know who is giving the rating and if they have the same tastes as you.
No. Just because a game gets a "perfect score" doesn't mean that you will be able to play it endlessly. Look at Portal for example. I would give that game a 10 and yet I lost most all interest once I beat the game. I wouldn't even say that a 10 means perfection. To me or IMO, I feel that a 10 rating simply means that you cant find anything worth complaining about. That doesn't mean that the game can't be improved upon or changed to make it better.
