What I am saying is, don't be afraid to go straight to lenders. They are just as helpful and with the change in lending practices, qualifications are going to be similar across the board!
Nobody will tell you the whole story. It is worth the tens of thousands of dollars over the life of the loan to do your homework and go visit a bunch of lenders as well as shopping on-line. Just don't let anyone run a credit check on you until you are ready. You can check your own, but every one lenders do basically lowers your credit score, sort of, kinda...
