Dean . . . I have no problem with folks going off-topic when they are talking about cool engine stuff. I have learned more on these car forums over the years than any other resource.
Scott . . . don't go off your line to allow passing unless you fear that you are about to trade paint (with perhaps, say, and out of control vehicle). With the issue of your motor at hand, I would in fact suggest novice group as it is so light. Just make sure you start out in the front of the paddock or you might get bored to death waiting for the next passing zone.
