Drag racing is for people that can't drive and can't tune. You can build a 10 second car for about $5-6k, but good luck building a champion autocrosser for that, outside of the lower stock classes.
Disclaimer: I will be at Sac Raceway once again this Wednesday (second time ever) because I've suddenly discovered that my RS may just be capable of running 14s. :shock: I'd like to pull that off before I do the swap (and suddenly get into the 12s on a bad day
