The oven is hotter while it's preheating to get it up to temp faster. It's scary to do, but it's not that big of a deal once it's done. Also, I would seal it with some black silicone when you're done, otherwise you may get water in the light and have to do everything again to clean it out (I did). One look and you will see what I am talking about.
I think someone opened the headlights up , painted the inside black , pulled the ballasts out , plugged the bulbs into the ballasts , put the clear cover back on then sealed them back up and installed them , because I just took a look at the wiring and someone didn't do to well of a job. How else would someone have gotten over sized blinker bulbs in ?
That's the only scenario I can come up with.
