Personally, I'd recommend a CAI over a short-ram. When I had a Perrin BigMAF, we were reading 170F air temps at the MAF on the dyno from the hot air under the hood... that problem was totally eliminated by going to an intake in the fender.
I reccomended the CAI to him, so we'll see. I'm not gonna force it on him. It's his car, ill let him do whatever. I personally would take the CAI but, that's just me.
