Default Kids of Iraq

I know a lot of you guys don't know me but I'm currently doing a tour in Iraq and during my time here I've had to opportunity to work with some of the greatest people and humanitarians I've come across in my 25 years of life. These men and women are not only serving their country through different branches of the US and Iraq military but they're also volunteering their precious little free time to an organization called Kids of Iraq.

Kids of Iraq was designed in 2008 as one of the first formal organizations to aid underprivileged children who live in local Iraqi communities. Raised in a country in conflict, these children are often without their basic needs. However, many people worldwide have been eager to relieve Iraqi children through generous donations. Kids of Iraq was organized to facilitate collecting donations and providing them to those who can deliver them locally. Each donation helps to strengthen the bond between American troops and Iraqis, which will reinforce a long-term relationship with the country and its people. Through Kids of Iraq, we hope to make the country a better place for their people and our soldiers.

If you would like to donate please go to the Kids of Iraq website where you'll find more information on money and supply donations, as well as more pictures. Winter is quickly approaching and believe it or not it does get cold in Iraq. Children's winter clothes are much needed, but if you have sports equipment or school supplies you'd like to donate they are always needed as well. Please feel free to ask any questions here or send me a PM. If you can't donate please just pass this infromation on via Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, or good old fashion word-of-mouth. Any help is greatly appreciated.
