You want shorts to go running in? Get running shorts. They cost a lot
because there aren't alternatives. Your complaining is just complaining. No one's going to be able to give you an alternative because there aren't any. The shorts you're looking for haven't been made in the last decade
at least. If you want a pair, buy some new shorts and cut off 5 inches.
Personally, I'm
ecstatic that shorts are longer. I like mine to end right at the knee or just below. Now that shorts are actually a bit longer, I can finally buy some that fit me comfortably. You should have tried being 6'+ tall in the 80's. Those short shorts were shorter than my underwear... thank god spandex bike shorts were acceptable to wear under gym shorts back then.
