I really want to know how the radio conversation that led up to this went:

"Heikki, telemetry indicates you have an engine problem."

"Yeah. It's on fire!"

"Stop and get out."

"Actually, I'm right by pit lane, I'll just come in."

"Dude, don't come in! None of us here want to be on fire too!"

*sigh* "Fine, if I pull up to the pit wall, can you get one of the tossers over at Williams to hand me an extinguisher?"

"Um... okay."

I have never seen a driver in the modern era put out his own fire.
