Yeah, I spun at about 90 mph at that corner.
Then the saftey steward came over to "chat" with me and told me that I "have to slow down because [I'm] coming dangerously close to the runway". Yeah, like that's
my fault there's an illegally fast (according to our own regulations) straight with no braking zone that close to the runway.
Like I'm going to slow down... right, cuz that doesn't defeat the purpose of AutoX.
Not that it wasn't fun to slide 100 feet sideways towards an active runway!
I really felt sorry for the worker station that was down there... anyone could have lost it in the other direction (like Dean did) and headed straight for them! :shock:
