It's not a schedule conflict, just the car - I want to have a rollbar welded in before doing track events with it, mostly to satisfy safety requirements of myself and the woman of the house.  I just doubt I'll have the kind of cash saved up to have Mike put in a good cage by then. |
You're telling me you work at Maximum Motorsports and you can't get a cage installed on the cheap? :shock: Time to make friends with the fab guys at work, and have 'em get welding! I know Mike's cages are the best, but if you can get one that's 90% as nice and just as safe for half the cost... I'd do it.
Besides, you should come up for the weekend even if you're not driving. Bring Laura, we'll be BBQing and stuff too... not just racing. You can check out the track day and realize it's not so dangerous w/o a cage... it's basically like going for a canyon run, except the road is much nicer, and much safer, and there's no traffic. You only have to push the car as hard as you want, and the track's so big you can easily be all by yourself in every corner.
