Just kidding, I agree it's not everybody's cup of tea, but some of these cars early 30's to 60's are puttering across the country, considering their age is an amazing feat. The cars and drivers are spending the night so the town, restaurants and bars are all putting on a pretty big show of it. |
Actually the history behind it is pretty cool... it's very old school, pre-WWI even, when rich philanthropists decided to "race around the world". Wait, that sounds like an episode of Speed Racer...
