[/quote]Don't forget those Turbo II's are notorious for blowing apex seals... which, unless you have the ability to do a motor rebuild yourself, basically means tossing the motor and getting a new one since the repair labor is so high. That RX-7 may end up costing you a lot more than the WRX.
If you really want a 7, and it's going to be a daily driver, stay away from the turbos... yes they rule, but they don't make great daily drivers. Get a non-turbo 2nd gen.

With the strict emissions law in japan every car i required to have rebuild every 30,000 miles. So the engine would be in alot better condition than one i would buy in the US. My 88 was na and i really want the extra power. If i did end up buying one it would not be my daily driver. I'd buy a late 80's, early 90's subaru gl-10 turbo.
And thats 6,000 shipped, thats 4000 for the car and 2000 for shipping. i've found ones for under four like this one.

its an 89 turbo II going for 250,000 yen, which is equal to 1,925 US, and the whole reliability issue, the only reason rotaries and 4g63's get such bad rap is because their abused. A guy i know bought his 86 turbo II brand new in 1986 and it now has 315,000 thousand miles on the original motor.
