NO.

Detectors should be as high as possible with a clear view forward and rear (Especially for V1s) Clear view includes minimizing the amount of tint they may have to see through as some significantly absorb radar wavelengths.

Also, remember, most windshields are curved, so Centered, or slightly offset to whichever side your area has the most radar traps on is best. Somewhere in the neighborhood of your rear view mirror is usually best...
