The short answer is whatever your kit came with... I have a kit lying around that is 10 guage, but I beleive I have seen 12,8,4, and possibly as low/large as 2. Last I knew, there was no imperical evidence that any of these does anything, much less what size wire to use, so it is a crap shoot.

That said, if you are going to do it, solder the ends, and make the lengths as short as possible of whatever size wire you use...

This kit goes to two places on the intake, one on the intercooler, and the right strut tower. The theory is to get the grounds as close to critical sensors as possible I guess. I'm sure others go elsewhere...
