Maybe the STi is different than the WRX, but on my car, the front hubs have a little notch in them that allows you to take out the lqg w/ removing anything else.
I had 2 done on my car in like an hour:
Jack up car.
Take off wheel.
Take of brake caliper.
Remove brake rotor.
Line up the stud w/ notch in hub.
Pound it out.
Replace w/ new stud.
Use lugnut and washers to seat stud.
Replace rotor, caliper and wheel.
All done!
