A's take 2 out of 3 in the season finale against Anaheim to make it into the playoffs. A's *finally* beat the Yanks, sweeping them no less, in the ALDS, and Boston beats Minnesota 3-1. A's and Boston in the ALCS, Boston taking the series 4-2 and going up against St. Louis for the World Series.
World Series:
Boston comes out hot and wins game 1. St. Louis fights back taking games 2 and 3. Boston wins one more, putting the series to 2-2, but St. Louis wins games 5 and 6, taking the Series. |
