So!!!!!!!! I just got back...what a crazy weekend in Lovelock...Seemes to go by really fast as we didn't get out there until Saturday morning...
Saturday Went great, Dean ran the Stealth, Scott and I ran our normal cars, ans Debbie drove the Stealth and Jim's RX7. 22 entrants total, Dean scored 9th, I got 10th and Scott got 11th....So we wre all pretty content with Saturday..
Sunday, different Story, Scott Pulls something special out and lays down an ultra fast morning run, winning SM over Dean and an Audi. I ran second, had a decent 2 runs....then on my third run, disaster struck...I was carrying 4th gear in a long left hand sweeper, when I got loose and went off course!!! :shock: Definately gave me a huge scare...the car is a little banged up as I hit some big bumps in the dirt. My left tie rod is tweeked slightly, my rim and brake are scratched, and my lower bumper drivers side is busted. I've never gone off at that rate of speed before, I'm told I did everything right, I though for sure I was going onto my lid...Scary stuff, but it was good to keep me in check I guess.. I opted not to run this afternoon, as my steering is iffy...I'll be cleaning dirt out of my car AGAIN
But all-in-all I'm fortunate...Regardless of my "exit" I had a blast as usual, the Solo Trials are a ton of fun...
