yah it does buy velocity, and good tires, and body kits, and happy meals, thats what money does, it buys things. So you are right it doesn't always buy it but it could. Of course if you pay somebody to make your car fast and they crank boost to 26 psi and blow your engine then I guess money might buy problems, so take into account a certain amount of germane automotive knowledge. I think even really crappy stupid driver can drive a very powerful car and make it look fast, in a straight line. How do you tell if someone is a good driver, do you let two people race the same car against each other and then who ever gets the fastest 1/4 mile is the best driver(good driver). I'm just all stuck on the straight line thing cause I spent a butt load of money on auto-x this weekend. I'll even admit that I did pretty crappy the second day but I still beat out some people, but I doubt that makes me a good driver. And I saw a nice vette look really slow through cones, but in a drag race they would do great.

Like I said, it doesn't ALWAYS buy velocity. I know a guy with a large amount of mods in this car and the car has the capability to run 11s... but his fastest time to date is a 13.0.. at BEST. He usually gets mid to high 13s. He just needs someone to tune it.. which i guess money does buy

But you see my point..
What classifies a good driver is that he just doesn't suck! He knows how to shift properly.. take turns propely.. drive the right speeds.. blah blah blah..
