By the way, I don't think they can adjust the pressure of the inner liner after it is installed. At least that was the way it looked on the WRC inserts that Nicky showed us on one of the last events this year. A quick Wheels and Winston search found wheels with only 1 stem hole, maybe Austin knows for sure.
I didn't think the inserts in the WRC cars were air filled. They're just there to help prevent punctures, and to prevent the tire from completely shredding in the case of a puncture. Basically they're solid run-flat deals, unlike the inner tires that NASCAR uses.

As far as balancing the wheel with 2 stems... I guarentee the variance in the rubber is still, by far, the bigger factor in the balancing requirements of the wheel/tire combo. What's a valve stem weigh in contrast to 18lbs of rim and 30lbs of tire?
