Repeat after me... Slow is Fast. Slow is Fast.

What that means is moving you hands and feet as slowly and smoothly as possible for a given situation will allow you to go through it the fastest.

Take you shift for examlple. If yo slow down just a little, and make the shift smooth, the car will likely carry much more speed through that period of time, or the time imediately before and after becasue the car was not upset.

Everything is relative though. In an autocross, things are happening so fast, it is hard to remeber to slow down and most importantly to be smooth. Yes, you are going to need to turn that steering wheel 180 degrees one way, and then back the other way to make that turn, but how you turn the wheel will make all the differentce.

There are so many, but often, the other key is to use as much track as there is, especially in an AWD car. where possible, getting all the way to the outside before entering a corner, and then all the way to the inside in the corner, and all the way back out as you exit the corner will make your laps faster.

Did I mention that how you sit in your car makes a difference? then ther is tire pressure...
