IMO most "brake issues" are due to people that don't know how to drive... esp. on larger vehicles. The Titan issue was one of those "these brakes are warped" things, wasn't it?
My dad had the T-Bird's brakes replaced under warranty 3 times because they "warped" a lot. My Dad also tended to drive the car in perpetual stop-n-go traffic everyday... he'd drive 20 miles never letting off the brakes... just letting up enough for the car to roll a little, then stop, and repeat.
Once I got the car I put 30,000 miles on it with out an issue... well 'cept for that time I had to stop halfway down Mosquito Ridge because the brakes were faded and smoking.

But they never "warped" once.
If you use the brakes properly (solid, even braking, followed by time to let them cool.. which precludes tailgating the guy in front of you), you won't get the deposits that people call "warped rotors".
