It's not a cooling problem; this is a fairly stock motor that we knew had pretty loose clearances when we put it in the car. It was just a matter of time before something gave out on it.. not very surprising that it happened at the speedway; you run WOT high RPM's around really long sections of the track. We had to do something in a hurry after losing the "race" motor at Sears last year though. |
So it's not really a repeat of the last issue... it *is* the last issue, still kicking your ass.
BTW: What failed this time... was it catastrophic again, or just something like a scorched piston ring?
