They won't lower the car at all, and are probably a bit too stiff for the WRX struts, which would result in a bouncy ride.
If you want to improve the handling of the car, try to find some complete STi takeoff struts (springs & shocks). Those will be stiffer and handle better because they will have the proper valving in the shocks.
