So, to somewhat extend the Fluids thread where RL Shockproof was discussed...

I want to take away the grinding and unsmooth shifting in my L, but don't want to compromise front diff and trans protection for long, hot, extended road trips. It wasn't clear to me the exact downsides of Lightweight Shockproof in the Suby tranny application, especially in regards to temperature conditions (very hot vs. cold). What about Heavyweight Shockproof 75W90? I dropped some regular GL-5 in the rear diffs last week, and I'm going to do the 5MT next.
