I've never done the plugs on an SVX, but on the WRX it involves removing stuff like the airbox, sprayer bottle, and battery. Probably the same deal on the SVX with the addition of the coolant overflow tank, and both fender liners, since you need to get the two rear plugs though a hatch in the wheel well.
In addition you're gonna need like eleventy-billion different socket extensions to get a wrench on those buggers. And some latex gloves to put inbetween the socket junctions to make sure they don't come loose, 'cause if they do it'll be a nightmare to get 'em out of the motor.
