Because I didn't want to quit the job I had at the time, and being an over the road truck driver is a tough life.

Edit: I'm bummed we have an autocross the same say as the LB race, I would actually try to go if it was a free weekend. To make matters more difficult, Scott and I are in charge of the event that weekend, so I'm going nowhere
