A little gross, but I saw a sports car of some sort back in the early nineties hit a deer. The dude was going very fast. He just missed it as the doe ran in front of the car. However, his passenger side mirror hit it on the right butt cheek (Flank). Lets put it this way, it sounds like a wet balloon poping.
BTW, I saw that dead doe on the road yesterday.
