Even though the runways are much wider than Hawthorne, they are runways, not a track with designed runoff. More than one car has been damaged going off at these events. Heck, if I remember correctly, 2 cars have been damaged on the tarmac, impacting cones at these speeds.
Again, I am not trying to discourage anyone, only make it absolutely clear that this is not an autocross/Solo event like we have at Stead, and therefore contains correspondingly more risk.

Didn't we see a couple of cars take some small damage from runway lights at the
autocross there last year? That was my first event - even at low speeds it's kinda freaky if you're inexperienced. I'm most likely going to wait until next year to take part in any Club Trials events (due partially to experience and partially to funds

). And I'd like to attend a drivers' school first.
I know Matt's been one of those poor folk to hit a cone that decided to fight back. . .
