Yes, definitely.
First our adminstration officials and right-wing punditry would appear on talk radio & cable news shows to convince the people it was necessary to attack the evil moon people because of the obvious and imminent threat they posed to our national security, since they had the capability to hurl pieces of cheese at us from above, killing millions of innocent Americans. Then the adminstration would go before the U.N. pleading its case for action, garnering votes for an anti-moon people resolution and building a coalition of military partners. Then we would pursue a full scale space navy buildup until we could bombard & destroy all the communications, transportation & cheese harvesting infrastructure from orbit, and invade by dropping space marines. They would then land on the surface and leave a swath of broken & depressurized moon city domes behind them from their superior weaponry as they easily advanced through the rag-tag moonite milita defenders. Then once the moon was firmly gripped in our iron fist of freedom, having secured its rich cheese resources for our future generations here at home and liberated the surviving moonites from their oppressive sovereign government, we would declare victory over the vanquished moon-based terrorists and the whole land would rejoice!
