Well, if he contends that he *did* thread lock 'em, then just re-thread locking 'em is basically telling you "well, it failed before, but I'm just gonna try again and screw you a second time if it fails again".
Really, he either had to admit he didn't thread lock 'em, or take it to the JB weld level. And chances are, he actually thinks he did thread lock 'em, since that's gotta be what they'd normally do... so there you are, with some JB welded in plugs.
