I'd unbolt the seat first so you can tilt it and have better access to the connector.

Also, make sure the car is off, key out of the ignition. I don't recall if the shop manual suggests removing the positive battery lead or not. You might check the shop manual anyway as it probably says how to do it...

It would also tell you how to tighten your rear wing.
