Lithia's newbody shop said they would still charge me $350.00 to paint the bumper even if I purchase it and install it myself. But then again, I would be nervous having any one else in town paint it, since its that odd Midnight Black Pearl color.

That sounds a little high. I wouldn't worry too much about having a body shop other than the dealer paint it. I had my WRB car painted at Shaber Ave Autobody (talk to Bruce, 775-302-1261) and the paint match is *perfect*. I can't imagine he'd charge more than about $200, since there's minimal prep work.

I think all the parts for that kit are fiberglass, but they're supposed to be very high quality.
