Last weekend I bought a 5qt bottle for an oil change, plus a 1qt bottle to have on hand (Walmart off of N. McCarren), the price was up to $22; I looked at my receipt later & noticed the 1qt bottles were $3.98; 
I went back & returned the 5qt bottle & got 5 1qt bottles. I learned a lesson about double-checking prices on the shelf. |
Mobil 1 was $3.98/qt? Usually WalMart has either the 5qt bottles, or the 1qt bottles, but not usually both.... at least at the S. Meadows WalMart. Plus most places sell Mobil 1 for like $5.50/qt.
I think the 5qt jugs are great, even if they cost a little more than the single qt bottles. They're just the right size (unless you have a BMW that takes 6qt of oil...
owned) Plus it makes dropping used oil off at Kragen so much easier. Which reminds me I have like 15 gallons of fluid (used oil and coolant) to drop of... that's already 3 trips I'll have to make since they won't take more than like 5 gallons at a time.
