But it would have worked and everyone would have been able to view it crummy and large as it might have been, and it is not like he needed to reclaim the space in use by the word doc on his PC.

What is unacceptable about them? They are viewable by the consumer. The consumer's requirement is to see the schedule in a reasonable period of time without requiring an external application. Word exports meet this requirement.

Scott may have other desired features and supportability issues he wants addressed, but consumers often care little for these.
