The thing about the Bugatti is that at least to some extent, it looks like a really well styled street car, not a race car which is what that looks like. I dare you to drive that over a speed bump.
And unless I am mistaken, the Bugatti record was accomplished in an "as driven on the street" including license plates with the exception of having turned the key in the special no spoiler high speed switch.
Building a 250+ MPH race car while a feat of engineering doesn't impress me as much as the Bugatti's 250 MPH street car.
Oh, and the Bugatti was two tone first as well.
