Road courses and cars with fenders are my preference. Give me a T2 race like the run offs a few years back, ALMS, touring car, V8 supercars, etc... Passing and strategy all rolled into one. I think that was my original point... F1 used to have LOTS of on track passing!!!

You don't have to apologized for not "getting" F1.

Frankly, it's not like any other racing on earth. In fact it's almost more like a time trials event, but that's because the level of competition is so high that cars are rarely a whole car length faster than each other. Granted it's an acquired taste in a way, but frankly I find F1 to be by-far the most entertaining race series.
Second is amateur Spec Miata racing, for exactly the opposite reason F1 is entertaining... those guys just go out and beat on each other like it's personal.

(Okay not really, but you get my point... door to door is exciting, F1 just isn't that sort of racing.)
