On topic, the couple of people that make up this Altamont "community" are retarded. But that's a redundant statement, because they live in Altamont.
There's nothing up there but a few ranches & mobile homes, the track doesn't impact anyone but their next door neighbor. Their (hypocritical) needs for peace and quiet are far outweighed by the value of that track to everyone in a 1-2 hour radius that uses it IMO. And oh yeah, the track was there first as usual.

This guy that's suing built a multi-million dollar home up there in 2005. I don't think this "community" is anyone but him and his wife. Dumbass decided in 1999 "hey this land is damn cheap, and that race track is going out of business, it'll be cool". He even planned on buying the track out when it failed. But AMP beat him to it, and rejuvenated the track just as he moved in.
