I thought "plus fitment" basically meant "low profile", 'cause "plus sizing" a wheel means going up to larger diameter wheels, while maintaining the same over-all tire diameter.
For example, a stock WRX is 205/50/16, so a +1 fitment for would include 225/45/17.
225/50/16 sounds like a +2 fitment for something like a 195/65/14, i.e. a tire for someone putting some 16's on a Honda Civic, hence the comment that they're designed for "plus fitment".
