A 6.5 et40 is 1 mm closer to the struts and 11 mm closer to the fender vs the 6" et45. That's only .433 inches. Do you think the 225's on the 6" wheel are less than half a inch from the fender that you'd need for your wheels?

I put 225/45/15's RS3's on a 15x8+22 (1.889 inches closer to the fender than the 6" wheels) and didn't need much of a roll (no pull, just folded the lip flat), and that's on a lowered NA with relatively soft springs. The NB is supposed to have plenty more fender than the NA... even tirerack lists wheels for the cars as "fits on NB, some fender modification possibly required for NA".

I'd be willing to bet you're okay with the 225s on those wheels.
