Once you get the SoftMod installed, you can do that. Up to firmware 4.2 you could do the SoftMod without a particular game using "BannerBomb". Any new console or one that people have "updated" via the web to 4.3, you need either SSBB or Lego Indiana Jones Original (and a SD card in all cases) to install the base SoftMod components, HackMii and HomeBrew Channel. Once you do, you do not have to have the game disc again. Best guide to doing it is on
