I used to be super gung ho on supplying my own parts because it often saves money, but I wish I hadn't for my recent clutch install. The clutch feels like ass and the shop, although a good Subaru shop here in Santa Rosa, doesn't warranty work when you supply your own parts. It's posted right on their wall, but seeing the sign when I picked up the car from them was the first I had heard of that. Definitely weigh the pros and cons so you're a happy customer.
