Default SRT-4 A- Hole salesman (Long)

Greg, take no offence from this account, as you are not grouped in this generealization...But I discovered a new dislike towards the SRT4 "crowd" Today. This in addition to the uncountable # of times I've had SRT4 rev on me at stop lights in the last 2 weeks.

Swearfilter:off

I was cruising down glendale today, taking the long way home from Sparks, (Down Second street/ Glendale Ave near Kietzke Lane) I see a brand new black SRT4 about two cars ahead of me in traffic. It has Reno Dodge license plates, so I can tell its new or on a test drive. Well, without warning this asshole pulls to the shoulder and stops with no warning, letting the car between us pass, and abruptly does a fucking one wheel burnout from the shoulder and is right on my ass. ( What the fuck is so cool about frying your left front tire? )

So I stop at the light, and this grease ball guido looking mother fucker behind the wheel rolls up next to me in the left turn lane onto Kietzke. His window is rolled down, and theres three degenerate little cracker thugs in the car with him staring down my car. He says, " Is that WRX pretty fast?" Apperantly this is a salesman on a test drive, I reply, "Does that thing have a Hemi?" and just stare.

He reply's "lets race right here, I'm trying to sell this car". Now the Icy hot stunnaz are all excited, like "lets do it"...hahahha fuckers

I say " If we race, your gonna lose your sale pal"

He says "Are you sure?"

I say " Absolutely, but I don't street race."

He says " Why not, that car is made for racing"

So I say "No thanks, but I'll be happy to whoop your ass at the track."

He seemed uninterested, and the cracker-corps was getting restless, giving me the old "chicken" attitude. I drove away straight, and saw the douche-bag salesman do another peg-leg burnout as he turned on to Kietzke. What a fuckin moron.

I'm glad to see salesman basing their sales on how well the car street races, very good. I have no doubt that kid bought that car, It s only a matter of time before that car is wrapped aroung a pole somewhere. Fuck Ricer Street racers. And Fuck Reno Dodge and their stupid ass salesman.

That group is exactly the kind of people that perpetuate the ricer/”racer” culture. “Street” racing is getting out of hand. I don’t mean like kids getting pulled over and hauled off to jail. I mean I see more and more people driving like maniacs and they are not behind the wheel of a turbo import or dOmestic. Just the over day I was tailgated down a street close to my house to the point of insanity by a 4Runner. Finally the guys slows down and pulls a right into the 7eleven and I get stopped by a red light right there and he is getting gas so I roll down my window and yell “Is the speed limit not fast enough for you man?!” , and just flips me off. He was a foot from my bumper for like a block and a half, I was going 27 in a 25.
And this kind of stuff seems to be happening a lot more lately(like last 4 months for me). When I told you guy about the vette I “raced” down stead blvd(60 in a 45) nothing to crazy, no one else close, then up the on-ramp. So I will admit to being a bit of a hypocrite, but seriously I hardly ever speed. Going down Oddie from work everyday I’m not really in a hurry so I go the speed limit and I am passed with no abandon by 80 percent of the cars on the road.
I borrowed InitialD(doodle deee) from Scott. So every time I get in my car lately I want to try drifting onto 395 and McCarron. I am able to hold myself back but the aura I get lately from other drivers really gets to me. Maybe now that gas prices have plunged a bit people do not mind smashing the gas pedal and destroying there miles per gallon. Or maybe the job market is so malnourished everyone is frustrated because bills are piling up and they are driving their kids to soccer practice worried about paying the mortgage.
Either way be careful out there and god help us if they make a Fast and Furious 3.

Dude, the speed limit is awful slow. I usually drive 5-10 over and I think that's reasonable on a city street or the highway, lets not talk about back roads.

I can't say I notice anything different though because people in MI always drive like idiots. I was going home yesterday with my friends (in an Accord coupe w/ I/E not that it matters) and we tucked behind an Escalade doing about 110 for around ten minutes, then passed him doing around 125. That's how my friend always drives and it's not terribly unusual to find others doing it too.

That story is AWESOME.... especially the "Hemi" comment.... classic!

What's even funnier is the reactions on the SRT forums. I love the guy that talks about how he doesn't want to make any generalizations, but "ALL WRX drivers in Reno are assholes"...

I am not saying all owners are like this for Subaru but ALLL in RENO were very un-classy and respectful to me or other SRt-4 owners...........
At least I think he's talking shit... I'm assuming he meant "disrespectful". Which is odd, since the impression I get form the WRX owners in SECCS is just the opposite. I remember all of us checking out Alienate's SRT and being impressed.... maybe that's because Nate's a good guy, not a ricer dickhead.

All I can think is that this guy really hasn't met hardly *any* Reno Subaru owners. Plus, since the majority of Subaru owners in Reno are soccer moms with Outbacks and Legacys, I'll just consider his opinion uninformed.

BTW: My shit *does* stink... sometimes I have to leave the fan on a good 20 minutes.

Who the fuck is that ? How many ricers have made it to our meets anyway? The truth is, I don't give a Fuck. I'm glad people like that don't feel welcome. If I wanted to hang out with a bunch of rice-bitches, I would. Theres a reason I don't, its because they bug me. I guess just because I have different priorities for racing and driving my car, that automatically makes me an asshole. How the fuck do any of these people even know who we are...I guess my nose is too high in the air to notice any of them, oh well. Hahahaah! What a bunch of shit this has started, I love it.

I guess there must be another crew of Subaru owners in this town that we don't know... either that or some of the people in SECCS have alter-egos that go out and rice it up on the side!

Bah! What ev4r.....

I don't know what to make of this. I wonder if that guys is the ass-hat in the red srt4 I saw today over by Summit Racing. Its so cool to dive into a parking lot at 50mph, really, I was very impressed.

I doubt there is another "group" of suby owners, but there are lots of Suby guys around.

I'm gonna go watch Nascar, this is all too complicated .

Well I have to say I hate the so called 'ricers'. I have been known to go to the street races to watch the retarded spectical of wanna-be talent. But never have particpated in anything or even acted like I was interested.

And I have been at fault be moronic accidents like the tree and newest of all 'the curb'. But I was not doing retarded ass moves or show-off stunts before hand that caused me to get into the accidents.

Personally, I hate it when I see people driving like moron's because it not only endanger's thier lives, but the people they may hit.

Time that people grow up and realize that you are driving a weapon everyday to work/school. You trigger is your gas pedal. There is no difference.

That is cool, I'm not saying WC is simple, I know how complex the engineering and development side can be. I hope all is going well, I'd love to hear about what you're working on, but I'll understand if you can't talk about it.

Don't worry I'm too stupid to know the specifics even if I were told them. We're (my team and I) working on the brake cooling system. Basically they have two inlets at the front of the car that direct air over the rotors and calipers. What we are doing is testing different configurations that they use in races to see which are optimal for what kind of races (short track, medium tracks, etc...). For now we are using a flow car to push air through a full scale system and measuring pressure drops. We have to have a website up by december if you want I'll throw a link on the board when it's done.

That RULES! Talk to Austin (AtomicLabMonkey) he used to work in HVAC, so he's done that stuff and would be interested in hearing about what you're doing... plus he built his own brake cooling ducts for his Mustang, and I'll bet he'd like to hear how to make 'em better...

IN the SRT4 thread they are talking about the STi and EVO being marked up to 47K and 40K.

Do they realize that you don't actually pay what is on the sticker, If they actual quoted those prices as something to be financed they are really more ignoranrt than I could have imagined.

All in all the thread is really weak, and I really should stop reading it BUT alas, it's like bad reality TV and is funny to watch people than you absolutely care nothing about make themselves look childish.
