Never let the driver work on the car...
Default Excellent New Brake Tech Article

Just finished reading this whitepaper that discusses brake bias and how it impacts performance. It's an important read for anyone considering making changes to their braking system.

Thanks Gary! Just in time too, since I'm currently looking at options for upgrading my brakes.

Which reminds me, can you get any ragin' deals on StopTechs?

Brembos != StopTechs. Different manufacturers make things in different shapes. The Brembos (at least the ones that come on the STi) happen to have a caliper that's really wide right out at the edge of the rim, so even though almost all 17" rims are big enough diameter-wise, the spokes tend to rub the calipers.

Hmm my friend here in Utah with about 20-30 k in parts on his car said that he had to get the 18 inch P1s so he could uprade his brakes. I wonder why he said that he has gone Cobb for everything. :?

I wonder why he said that too. Did he get StopTechs? If he did then he didn't need 18" P1s. If he got something else, then perhaps they don't fit under 17 P1s.
