Default so my computer interwed maybe h4x0rz

So i can't boot my compy up when it is connected to my network. My roomates computers work.

When I boot up without internet everything is great. When I plug internet in. A couple of things happen.

1. Nothing for 1.3 mintues

2. dumpsc.exe pops up in the running processes on my compy

3. 5 seconds later svchost.exe in my processes is using 100% of my compy and it completely utterly freezes up.

this is why I am posting from my bro's compy. I have run Norton and Spybot on it to no avail.

Any ideas, anyways it's getting pretty annoying.

Try ad-aware too. If that doesn't work, there is some hardcore spyware removal tool, but its supposedly hard to use from what I hear. CWShreader, I think its called.

Safe Mode, get your data off, rebuild... This may be the answer for JC as well.

If safe mode is no better, pull the drive and put it in someone else's PC as a secondary drive to pull data...

Unfortunately, Windows remains an OS you have to throw away, and start over with every once in a while IMHO...

We have systems that run 7x24 with no changes for years, that just go wonky...

Well I used system restore in the XP utilities.

I'm not sure if restore actually fixed anything, but I'm keeping my fingers crossd.

As you can see I am on the interweb on the board and that's all I care about!
