Default Looking @ cars

My roommate is looking for a car to replace his 01' Legacy GT. He wants a car with more raw power. He's been looking at the new Legacy GT and the Volvo S40 T5 AWD. He mentioned that the car had to have a sunroof, and he kept looking at my STi which doesn't come with one. I mentioned that he should get an Evo, like Mike's (only the blue one). He seemed to like the idea.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I'm trying to get him to come to the meet this week. Can someone bring and Evo. Or better yet could both evo's be there?

You mean all four EVOs? You can get a WRX with a sunroof now you know. What about a FXT?

He had a WRX before the Legacy. I don't think that he like the Forester, but good suggestion.

well just to let you're friend know.. The only evo's that come with a sunroof are the leather, sun, and sound package (which adds 3 grand to the MSRP) anyway, he's looking at clost to 34k if he want's one with a sunroof. The 04 Evo's dont have a sunroof like Eric's wife's red evo. =(

hope this helps

Thanks Mike, he'd wants a new one, and even with the added price the vehicle is still in the same price range as the other cars w/ the options he wants on them.

Are you going to be there on Thursday? I want to show Brent your car.

What's his budget limit, $35k or so? If he wants a sedan, and doesn't like the Legacy GT, I'd go for a G35 AWD sedan. There isn't much wrong with that car.

that is a great idea.. I drove a g35 this past summer and man was it a good feeling.. Although the power is no where near the evo or the STi, it's NA you have to remember. It's traction control system is supposed to be bad ass in teh snow as well. Personally, i say if he's not a tuner of any sort, i'd straight off ax the evo.. (even though i like it alot).. To be honest, (and almost everyone else will tell you this as well), the EVO really isn't much of a car.. The interior is drab and the gauge cluster is crap... HOWEVER, on the upside of things, the motor has a ton of potential..

If he plans to leave it stock, the STi is a good car (even most car shops will tell you that stock for stock, teh STI is the way to go), the G35 is a great car (also comes with a sunroof and can have a BOSE sound system ), i know SAAB and volvo also have similar cars to the WRX.. and let's not forget the WRX.. great car for the price *if those sales tards dont try to rip you off*.. anyway, just my opinion on things, and after all, he can do whatever he like with his money

oh yeah, i forgot the Legacy GT... Tons of power.. has more power with a MT than most people will ever need on the street... You may be asking yourself *but what about your car?*...
...well, i'm just an idiot that likes bigger turbo's...

The G35 is hot. I like it. I'll show him it tonight. He test drove the Volve and liked the features, but liked the power of the Legacy more. He drives a lot of curvy roads for vacation, so he needs a lot of readily available power. He loved his WRX, I think that he wants something more refined.....I wonder what he'll think of the evo?

Thanks for the help eveyone!

Does he just want a fast car for daily driving? If he wants something he can race, too, the feedback I heard from another G35 owner/racer is that the driver's seat needs modification or replacement to install a harness belt; and, the car feels heavy on an autocross course. Might be better on a track, though.

~6.2 stock, but if he's that worried about performance you need to sell him on the Legacy GT. Remind him that $1500 in mods makes it a low 13 second car.

I think the next meet will be at Sparky's on Longley and McCarren, but ask the heads. It seems like a good location small but good service.
