Default Noob swaybar swap..

Howdy,
yeah, i was wondering if GD WRX swaybars (F&R) would fit onto a GC/GM type chassis (I have a 96 2 door impreza), and if they were larger in diameter than the GC type 2.5RS ones? It would be a nice cheap upgrade for the kid here....

Yes, the rear sway bars are the same, front, no. Also look into getting end links, and mounts depending on your budget, it is an awesome, worthwhile mod. I personally scored a Perrin adj. w/endlinks and mounts for my 05 rs from a gent who upgraded from a wrx to an sti. It is a much more responsiv car now.

Linkys for parts!!

No. The sizes are not the same, they range, anywhere form 16ish (stock) to upwards of 22-24ish iirc. That is why you should change the mounts with the bar, not only does the bigger bar put more stress on the mount, but the bar (whichever one you decide to go with) will not fit in the stock bushings.

Hmmm. think ill try the 20mm. Any suggestions for where to score the mounts? Arre the endlinks from the 13mm okay to use or so inferior to make it not worth it? Something like kartboy or mrt or something?

20mm should be fine. You can use the stock endlinks, you just won't notice as big of a difference. MRT or the whiteline HDs are my suggestion. Pick up some cheap strut braces too.

Thanks, JC. Thanks for the parts offers also. Rear bar mod and snorkelectomy to go with my $70 underdrive pulley cashes me out. Gonna try to find some used endlinks though.

Are you still looking for rear endlinks?

No problem, I have a set of rear endlinks from whiteline, still unopened package. I ordered front and rear, got two rear. I'll hang onto them until someone really wants them.
