Default 05 sti CEL?

Ok I need a pretty fast answer on this STI owners...05 sti..with 3 inch HKS Turbo back (no cat)..throwing a cel...(I know its because of the no cat) what I want to know is are the 05 sti's prone to over boost with that set up? and what does the ecu do? IE send car into limp mode. also what is a fix for the over boosting problem..If I remember right stock boost is 14.2 psi...but what does it taper down to?
ONE more...where would be the best place to tap into for a boost gage?..off the manifold on the left, back side next to Throt. body or "T" off the fitting on the turbo?

Flashing CEL/cruise is overboost. Simple CEL on is probably P0420 Cat Inefficiency.

Port the wastegate, get flashed, add a cat back in. Or get a GT30.

1. Before you do anything get the code read.
2. Please tell me the car has some form of engine management upgrade.

his mods are hks ssq bov (not recirculated WTF) HKS turbo back. still has stock air box so he isnt leaning the hell out of his car YET...says he plans on getting a flash soon.
