Default broken valve spring?

there is a ticking sound coming from the driver side and i let a friend drive acouple weeks ago and the fuck down shifted to 3rd from 4th and over reved 2 9000 anyways.....im thinking about getting some brian crower cams 272s and springs....but sence im not doing a bigger valve size can i just keep the stock valves or would it be better 2 get some brian crower valves also?

If you're not oversizing them, I don't see any advantage in new valves.
